The Area is nice enough apart from constantly barking dogs. The room I stayed in has no double glazing so it is always cold in winter and you can feel a draft constantly. Property owner has a terrible attitude. Make sure to get an agreement written up and take a picture of the room before otherwise you won't get your bond back when you move out. Fire alarm wasn't present in the rooms or hallway till this year. Damaged fixtures not fixed for a long time (bathroom lights/ Light switches).

Non healthy homes compliant upon move in, door panel leading outside smashed, deodoriser left in toilet and we were asked to move in a day after (tenancy started 01/12/2021) so the agent could clean the property. Bucket of paint left in the garage that started to leak over everything which they said we had to clean/dispose. Pipe burst and house flooded while still non-HH compliant and some fans were brought in to dry the carpet. Rained quite heavy one night and soaked flatmates bed and the solution - borrow a dehum and more fans! They didn't feel the need to check how the water came in, just paint over it she'll be right.

Perfect sunny little pad for me and my cat. Felt very relaxed, safe and private. Great neighbours. Its peaceful even though its quite a densely populated street. The Landlord is respectful and easy going. Responded quickly when i had a problem with the washing machine. Would abide again 10/10.

Loved living here. Good for single people. It's a small studio, but so comfy, convenient location and compact. Not much storage as it is a hotel room. But I had the best year living here. It's safe as for young single women! Highly recommend.

The house was horrendous. When we moved in, the oven was faulty. We made the landlord aware of this right away. He took a look at it, googled replacements in front of us, saw that secondhand cooking ranges on trademe retailed for about $900, and told us to "buy something from kmart, I'll reimburse you upto $200" When we viewed the house, we asked if he would take the items (read: garbage) he had stored in the garage. In the year we lived there, he only cleared it out after we moved out. The house was COVERED in mould. And did not comply with Healthy Homes. No HRV. He asked us to chip in for the $3000 to install HRV. He gave us 63 days to move out when we complained about the loss of items to mould. He charged us fixed water charges

It’s a beautiful home but what it exceeds in style, it lacks in substance. It’s a really cold and damp home. The bottom floor room has ceiling to floor doors which did not lock properly when we were there. We had unsealed windows and it was like camping but indoors. There were mornings we could see our breath in the house. We received a falsified healthy homes statement, had about 4 property agents change across a year and getting something fixed until the last agent stepped in was a nightmare. Took them to the tenancy tribunal and won because of bad heating standards and a lack of a healthy homes report presented to us. It’s a beautiful house but the people managing/owning it don’t do a good job of maintaining it

The unit has nice view however it’s damp and humid especially in autumn and winter. I’d rather spend most of my weekend at out than stay in the house during weekends. Mould grows under the bamboo benchtop and inside the cupboard. There are also water seepage from the wall. I have written to the landlord about the rapid growth of mould in the flat. Only been told that I should have the dehumidifier turn on 24/7 and mentioned that this worked for the previous tenant. I’d appreciate if this was disclosed during the flat viewing.

This unit is tiny, old & needs ALOT of work. The bathroom is mouldy & all the walls are falling apart. Theres also live wires loose, hanging from the ceiling. But the main concern is the so called landlord "[name hidden]". She lives on the property, and seems to believe she can dictate your entire life. She gave me ZERO privacy while living there, even though I paid twice as rent than I should have. She would let herself into my room whenever she liked, and would even bring her friends in to my room without any notice or communication..Yet I had to give a weeks notice if i wanted any family over including my 5 year old niece. The landlord is rude, vindictive and the biggest hypocrite ive ever met. Told me I wasnt allowed to do most things that her and the other flatmate were allowed (ie. having a bin in my room, having guests, drying my washing, and so on.) I was treated so unfairly here and I wouldnt recommend living with [name hidden] ever. She is beyond incompetent.

This house is not rentable. The freezer constantly grows mould, owners refused to repair or replace it. No shower pressure. Mould in the shower is resistant to exit mould/mould killer/bleach. Heat pump sounds like an airplane taking off. A huge amount of our belongings went mouldy despite leaving windows open, using a window vac, damprid and dehumidifiers. The ceilings in one of the rooms is falling and the walls are wet (even in summer). 2 plants grew through the walls in the master bedroom. Stay away

FULL OF MOULD!! Literally mould everywhere it’s so damp I’m pretty sure he just paints over it. Legit all of my clothes got mould on them and it’s so damp and cold. The landlord is nice but I swear there is no insulation at all so it’s so loud you hear everything from above. No washer or dryer and the water pressure in the shower sucks so bad. Lots of the windows are pained shut and the air flow is pretty bad. The fridge is bad and the freezer just stops working for no reason. The location is really good though and easy to walk to grey lynn with lots of shops and good public transport. I paid 410 a week for rent and was definitely over paying for one person honestly I’d pa ss it up, the location isint worth the mould poisoning
