This house is not rentable. The freezer constantly grows mould, owners refused to repair or replace it. No shower pressure. Mould in the shower is resistant to exit mould/mould killer/bleach. Heat pump sounds like an airplane taking off. A huge amount of our belongings went mouldy despite leaving windows open, using a window vac, damprid and dehumidifiers. The ceilings in one of the rooms is falling and the walls are wet (even in summer). 2 plants grew through the walls in the master bedroom. Stay away

FULL OF MOULD!! Literally mould everywhere it’s so damp I’m pretty sure he just paints over it. Legit all of my clothes got mould on them and it’s so damp and cold. The landlord is nice but I swear there is no insulation at all so it’s so loud you hear everything from above. No washer or dryer and the water pressure in the shower sucks so bad. Lots of the windows are pained shut and the air flow is pretty bad. The fridge is bad and the freezer just stops working for no reason. The location is really good though and easy to walk to grey lynn with lots of shops and good public transport. I paid 410 a week for rent and was definitely over paying for one person honestly I’d pa ss it up, the location isint worth the mould poisoning

Never going to rent with Braziers again, honestly shocking communication when it came to maintenance and our concerns with the property. The back door to the property is rotting and impossible to open. The rear bedroom has water damage on the ceiling and it started leaking during Winter, this is obviously a reacurring issue they can’t be bothere getting permanently fixed. The bathroom doesn’t ventilate properly so every time you shower you get a free sauna. the water drips down the walls and off the ceiling and there’s even a nice rotten patch of flooring. Not to mention the mouse problem. Wouldn’t recommend. We got a new property manager and he seems lovely but sadly didn’t make up for the 9 months of neglect from the property management.

Fair price for property. Little backyard, parking spot. Gets lovely evening sun. Cons: Mouldy, terrible water pressure in both shower and sinks, worlds smallest kitchen sink, wallpaper, old window fixtures, top flat up steep street. (Not accessible). Also quinovic Johnsonville

Incredibly chill landlord and reasonable rent for the location. Super convenient to public transportation. Incredibly mouldy, damp, and cold. The number of outlets has increased since, so will want a dehumidifier 24/7.

Pros Modern, warm house. Good sized lawn & garden, maintenance by contractor included in rent. Walking distance to the pub. All rooms are large & equal size so no arguments choosing rooms. Parking on site Cons Shared driveway with house to the rear and they are NUTS. Never once said hello or told us their names despite us introducing ourselves and waving hello each day. Her complaints: Someone was touching her garden she planted along the drive. - nobody was The gardener hired to visit the flat wasn’t allowed to use the drive. Gas delivery drivers weren’t allowed to use the driveway. Yelled at them one day, made them park 100m down street and carry it Complained at any visitors or noise But is a great place & LL ignores her complaint

Amazing location to Massey University, super close to bus stop also. Rooms get morning and evening sun in the summer. The house got pretty cold in winter, all had to buy room heaters, and dehumidifiers; some clothes and paintings went mouldy. And there was an issue in one of the rooms with water leaking into the carpet so there was a wet patch in a corner of the room for half of the year, landlords tried to fix it but its probably more of a deeper issue there.

This place was close to Uni but had issues right from the beginning. We moved in and there was glass in the carpet after previous tenants paid for it to be professionally cleaned, rats were living in the garden, the wiring was dodgy, one of the rooms was uninsulated, the whole house was freezing. Property managers (superior property management) ignored 2 notices to remedy, when a tribunal hearing was lodged they gave the property back to the landlord, who tried to bribe us with beer so we wouldn’t complain about the lack of compliance with healthy homes. Also! ANTS EVERYWHERE

Pros of this house was 1.a nice view out to Karori Cons 1. Rat infested 2. Ant infested 3. So much black mould that we thought the place was just paint black 4. Cold all the time 5. Broken windows/ windows that would not shut 6. Landlord repeatedly entered property without our permission 7. Landlord refused to do anything about any problems listed above and told us we would have to do that as it’s not her responsibility
