Mouldy, damp, and old (1910 build). Vent system doesn't work. Landlord reluctant to spend money on the place. Right next to the motorway with super dodgy neighbours. Stellar location though, such a quick commute.

Pros: Close to the City and the Shore. Good for being in uni as the price was Cheap. Cons: landlord never fixed anything. Always did it himself. We had black mold growing downstairs by the toilet and he just covered it with a plank of wood. There was windows with open gaps. The house had a leak from upstairs to the downstairs of the house and he wouldn't come over to fix until we threatened to call the tribunal. Freezing cold place, the insulation was done by him and the healthy home inspector said he could tell it was a home job but let it go anyway. This house needs to be bowled down to be honest.

Terrible property. One of the exterior walls has a mold problem, all the paint on the window sills is flaking or crazy thick to compensate. Landlord refuses to do more than most basic maintenance and has to be bullied into replacing appliances. This place is crazy damp in the winter all my clothing now smells of mildew. We were constantly running dehumidifiers to try to keep it safe. Theres no lawnmower access to the back yard because the back door in the garage got bricked up to stop flooding. To top it all off we were paying $500 but it's being put up to $600 without maintenance apart from the door bricks and a oven replacement. Horrible living standards. The neighbors are lovely though be nice to them

It's a fine house if it were properly maintained. Its 5 bed, with currently 6 of us living here so the price is fairly reasonable for the property. They have uped the price for next year though we will be moving anyway, they've listed it for $1300.. which is $260 per room. Not worth it in my opinion considering my bedroom flooded once and they've still done nothing about it. I have a dehumidifier but I can't imagine someone trying to live, in my room specifically, without one. The house has a pool which is great if you're willing to put the effort & money in. Nice kitchen and living room but the leaks bring down the value, and due to the size it is costly to heat.

Cold due to large amounts of glass. Make sure you listen for the hum of the vent system bolted to the roof of the apartment - it is quite loud at night and may drive some people crazy.

2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom. Private landlord! Super responsive and helpful, always let us know when he was coming over and was very realistic about flat inspections. Heat pump installed so always warm with reasonable power bills. Only slightly annoying thing was the shower pressure was a bit meh and we needed to bring our own fridge and washing machine but it’s flat access to the laundry and kitchen so not a big deal. Got our full bond back straight away when we moved out. Genuinely miss this house and this landlord, he was awesome.

the bedrooms got a lot of sun but we couldn’t get any of our furniture up the stairs :( might be better with flat pack furniture you can build inside the flat

Spacious flat with a nice garden, mouldy and old though with damp door frames and an ancient shower that always smelled rotten. The landlord doesn't care about anything but the front garden and will increase the rent as much as they can without taking care of the mold. Terrible area too, it's right by a parking lot; trucks, parties, bottles smashing, any hour of the day or night. There's a lot of noisy neighbours on other sides as well, and when I lived there our attached neighbour would tell the landlord if we didn't weed some weeks, so that wasn't a vibe. Not worth the price at all.

Wasn't too bad of a flat honestly, was a bit expensive for a 2 bedroom back then and a little dingy but had everything you needed and everything worked. The only thing that was weird was when I was wanting to move out (my flatmate decided to stay and find a person to fill in for me) they had told me that they actually only had my name in the contract as head tenant and my flatmate was not on the contract at all when we both signed the tenancy contract together. Then they raised their concern of having no females living in the flat which was a bit uncalled for, but they did eventually let my flatmate stay and find another flatmate. Just a weird and uncomfortable experience.
