Frustrating and dishonest property owner. Despite living in the same building as the flat, they managed to neglect and ignore requests for simple maintenance for months on end. Communication was abysmal, texts and emails would go unresponded-to for weeks if not months. As they lived in the same building they would say we can always knock on their door to mention these things, which is irritating when trying to keep people accountable, and plain uncomfortable on the occasion they answered the door in their underwear. On the rare occasion they would venture into the flat to attempt repairs, on multiple occasions they just trauma-dumped about how busy they were and how they "simply couldn't" conduct the repairs that day. Grow up.

Place was nice but not really worth the price, the landlord has a habit of showing up unannounced and letting issues go much longer then they should.

Huge possem problem and rats living in the walls, huge huge bug infestation they tried fumigation but didn't stopp the wee pricks. No double glazing all doors have a draft even the front door. **** water pressure, the hill it's on is horrible takes some muscle to walk up it, close to the new world but it's still a walk for any nesseitys. Huge smell issue coming from the floor boards. Cold as **** doesn't hold heat.

Great area right beside a fish and chip shop and the main uni Campus, same street as the museum and central library with a shut load of hot food shops down the end. It's ****ing cold, no double glazing and with it having an upstairs it's worse, stairs are super narrow and the upstairs bathroom is barely a bathroom, huge hole in the floor. Small kitchen and you can't open the oven all the way because of the beam in the kitchen. Good water pressure but we had issues with the landlord just barging in without notice and the whole house smelling if you left the rubbish in the kitchen for more than an hour. Right in uni ville 5/10

Bad landlord and wasn't cleaned before we first arrived. Mould forming literally everywhere during winter, even got MOSS growing on the GLASS of the window. Carpet and wallpaper tearing. Ancient wire fuses blow if you run power downstairs at the same time as the heatpump. Landlord also renting the bottom room as an AirBNB and gave strangers keys to our house without providing notice. He's a nice guy but just a bad landlord, yknow? Nice location near a bus stop and Zealandia. Nice view. Definitely a student flat, neat for parties because you don't really have to care.

Great flat, great area, great property managers. Got so lucky with this one. Really decent rate for it too although I know they increased the rent for the new tenants.

Lovely home in a gorgeous neighbourhood. Super convenient access to both motorways, public transport and supermarkets. Very warm. When I moved in the house was in excellent condition however, despite the landlords best intentions, it has accumulated damage/issues and had several pest problems that went unaddressed (we paid for out of our own pocket). The landlords have too many properties to keep up with (including the house next door) hence the delay in maintenance (e.g. a lot of broken window handles). In saying that, they are a lot more reasonable than other landlords I've had and do bring a Christmas gift each year which is nice.

Named flat - S***yland. Don't know why it is censoring that it's not a bad word. Student flat but pretty good for what it is. Landlord is nice and friendly, helpful, does all the repairs himself. All the rooms are decent as are facilities. End of the day it's a Dunedin flat

Literally the loudest flat in Dunedin. Roadworks consistently going on all night every night - impossible to sleep and the windows in most rooms didn't close. Right by the bus hub also so super dangerous and overpriced. The property manager is also horrible to deal with and refuses to fix anything.

Mouldy, damp, and old (1910 build). Vent system doesn't work. Landlord reluctant to spend money on the place. Right next to the motorway with super dodgy neighbours. Stellar location though, such a quick commute.
